Each Supper Club
that commits to serving one dinner a month
to our residents for a single year saves
Samaritan House almost $4,000 in staff and
materials expenses!
Food and friends make a great combination for this unique volunteer program
Supper Clubs at Samaritan House are an 14-year tradition, the first one having been started in 1993 by a group of four men who decided to offer our residents a treat by serving them a special dinner once a month.
Since then, the program has grown to include over 25 other groups and organizations, each taking a turn to provide and personally serve a meal to our residents. Meals vary from the exquisite to the simple. Cookouts, spaghetti dinners and pizza nights are just a few of the offerings made available by Supper Clubs each month.
We recognize and thank all of our Supper Clubs for their tireless commitment, their great generosity and the love that they show toward the residents of Samaritan House. Aside from making a positive impact on the overall environment of the house, each Supper Club saves Samaritan House thousands of dollars every year in operating costs.
