We have adopted the concept called "Continuum of Care," in which we partner with other organizations to provide all of the services our residents need in order for them to return to the workforce, as their health will allow.

More Than Treating a Disease — Rebuilding Lives To fulfill our mission to bring about positive change in the lives of our residents, Samaritan House strongly believes in treating the whole person, not just HIV/AIDS.

Housing
Samaritan House provides permanent housing in 60 single-occupancy on-site units. Through our Genesis Program, we provide off-site rental assistance for 50 residents. Tenants contribute to their housing costs based on their ability to pay. Because of our ongoing wait list and our desire to unite families, we now offer 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments. See our section on The Villages at Samaritan House for more information.

Nutrition
All residents are provided three hot meals per day. We have on-site nutritionists who make sure that the special nutritional needs of our residents are met.

Transportation

Samaritan House has the capability of providing transportation for residents to and from doctors appointments.

Medical Treatment

Samaritan House provides on-site nursing services as well as medical case managers who see that the medical needs of residents are met. We use the services of local hospitals and clinics to provide a full range of treatment services.

Psychological

Again, Samaritan House uses local providers to offer a full range of psychological services for the treatment of mental retardation, depression, substance abuse, and other mental wellness issues.

Life Skills

Samaritan House provides training in a variety of skills, such as job interviewing, computer skills, financial management, etc. The Hope Works program gives participants a full range of assistance in securing and keeping employment.
